  1. Role Overview

Location: London with some domestic and international travel

Hours: Full time

Responsible to: Head of Regulation and Policy

  1. Skyports Overview

Skyports is connecting the world through our skies by owning and operating infrastructure for urban aviation, and operating drone deliveries. We are transforming the way that people and cargo are moved.

Skyports was founded in late 2017 and we are already expanding rapidly with a team of 8 (as of September 2019) and have plans to grow significantly in the next 12 months.

Since we launched, we have made great progress across the two parts of our business, recently being named one of the UK’s top 10 most promising start-ups.

Within our infrastructure business, we have partnered with one of the world’s leading air-taxi manufacturers, Volocopter, to build the “Volo-Port”, the world’s first vertiport developed exclusively for electric air-taxis. This was launched in October 2019 at the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) World Congress in Singapore. In addition, we have opened our US office in Los Angeles to rollout our US operations. We have also secured several landing sites in London ready to build landing and take-off infrastructure for the Urban Air Mobility revolution.

Within our drone deliveries business, we have worked with leading cargo drone manufacturers to develop custom cargo delivery drones. Our drones can carry 6kg up to 100km, offering a game-changing improvement to the transport of small, high-value cargo. These drones are being utilised on projects with partners in the health, logistics and e-commerce sectors such as the NHS, major logistics companies and not-for-profits.
